Daniel Beals

Daniel J. Beals is a communications and digital marketing professional with a background in nonprofit planning and governance, communications, public policy and digital campaigning. Daniel is well known in the Kingston region for his leadership and service on a number of nonprofit boards, as well as political experience as a federal candidate in the 2011 and 2015 federal elections.

After 14 years of experience in the tourism industry on the St. Lawrence River, Daniel made the decision to return to school to refine his skills as a nonprofit strategist, communicator, and digital marketer. He is currently attending a one-year post-graduate program in Interactive Marketing Communications at the School of Business at St. Lawrence College.

Daniel also currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors at CFRC Radio at Queen’s University, as well as the Board of Directors at Kingston Community House at 99 York St. In the past, he has served as the President of the Kingston & the Islands NDP, Chair of the McBurney Park Neighbourhood Association, as well as the Grand Theatre Municipal Advisory Board.

Daniel has extensive experience with nonprofit governance, public speaking, marketing communications, public relations, fundraising, and policy development. His years of business experience in the cruise ship industry gives him additional insight on local business as a former purchaser and supply coordinator.
